Initially, the choice of proficiency level is based on a self-assessment by the learner.

At the beginning of the training we carry out a more accurate assessment to place the learner in a more suitable level if needed.

Methodology

Following the suggestions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, proficiency levels of our courses are distributed as presented.

Our teaching method is based on the communicative and task-based approaches, adjusted to the communicative learners needs.

Our courses doesn't certificate proficiency levels. Our courses helps you to pursuit a learning goal so that you will be prepared to apply for a proficiency certification exam - Centro de Avaliação e Certificação de Português Língua Estrangeira

The presented learning proposal allows learners to start looking at results after a short learning time, i.e., at the end of each module, thus feeding their motivation levels and contributing to an effective learning.

The presented levels subdivision also allows us to organize the program contents into thematic modules to suit different contexts, paces and learning purposes.

CEFR Levels (CEFR)

Mostly of our courses has a 90 minute lesson, namely 15 hours and 30 hours courses. In long duration courses, such as, 60 hours course or costumised ones, it will be a 2 hours lesson.

For those who don't need or simply don't want a long duration language course, may choose a 15 hours or a 30 hours course, according to proficiency level.

The PLNM tutoring lessons for children (6 to 10 years old) and teens (11 to 18 years old) lasts 60 minutes once a week.

All courses include portuguese learning material.
